The October meeting was held on Thursday the 1st, at GJ Ceramics.

 Members in attendance were Ron Cloyd, Ruth McCrea, Bob Walsh, Bob Petersen, Deb Stewart, Ben and Mary McFarlin, Harold Snider, and Lindaa McBride.

We also added two new members to the group, Carol Proud and Gen Morris. Big welcome to both of you! We hope to see you both on a regular basis.

We presented Bob Walsh with a $50.00 gift card for Rib City  in appreciation of everything he has contributed to the guild. Thanks again Bob for opening up your studio and your home, and sharing your kiln with us!

We had a brief discussion and “show and tell” about the most recent wood fining at Bob’s.  Great success, lots learned, and ready to do it again.

This month’s activity was aesthetics of the mug. Everyone brought an example or two of favorite mugs, and talked about why they were attracted to them, often sprinkled with great stories of where they came from or who they were made for.

We set a tentative date for the show at the Great Frame Up. That will be on Friday December 11. More to come on this.
